Our Story
We didn’t plan to become a blended family.
Many years ago, Ryan and I said yes to something simple—caring for two kids we loved. We had no idea—that years later—that decision would follow an unthinkable tragedy that would shake our small town, test our faith, and stretch our marriage in ways we never saw coming.
There were courtrooms. Hard conversations. Financial strain. Sleepless nights. Moments of deep grief — and moments where I sat in the car and told God exactly how confused and heartbroken and angry I felt.
Pain and loss hit our family hard.
And yet—so did grace.
Over the years, we have watched God meet us in the darkest places with a kindness that rebuilt us from the inside out. What felt like the end of everything slowly became the beginning of something new.
We are not a family untouched by sorrow.
We are a family rebuilt by hope.
It’s difficult to trace, to fully understand, how something I thought would drown me grew into the vibrant, joy-filled, fun family we became. Sometimes I sit in wonder, watching them all laugh around the dinner table.
That’s why I speak the way I do. Because I’ve lived it. Because I know the depth of resilience that can grow in the hardest soil. Because I have seen that even here— especially here—good still grows.
And I want you to know: it can happen for you, too.
